Dear Friends of All who Walk, Swim, Fly, and Wiggle:
RMAD once again greeted the circus in force last weekend. Despite the Coliseum and circus staff’s typical bullying antics, we were polite, calm, and did our thing. And we looked good, too. Our body screens were there to show that you can’t argue with video. The screams of animals are loud and clear.
Next on the schedule is Fur Free Friday, on the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll be visiting the animal skinners doing business in Cherry Creek, reminding the public that these people continue to engage in the cruel, barbaric slaughter of animals for vanity and greed.
RMAD is organizing a winter blanket drive for animals residing at area shelters and sanctuaries. We have a few options for getting the blankets to the animals, including a drop-off point at Three Little Figs (2793 Iris Ave, NW Corner of 28th & Iris, Monday-Saturday 11-7), and a pending drop-off point in Denver. You can also call or email Steven and Tami Conley (303 661 3954, TJC1BC@aol.com) to arrange for a pick-up in the Denver/Boulder metro area.
VOLUNTEERS – we really need help soliciting donations for our upcoming fundraiser with Southern Plains Land Trust! Please email us if you can help. This is going to be a great event with many holiday gift opportunities.
