Hello!
Welcome back to RMAD eNews. Things have been very busy in the RMAD office, especially with warmer weather. In the past week we’ve handled a dozen inquiries into a range of issues from dogs being teased in back yards to prairie dog colonies in jeopardy to the location of vegetarian restaurants in Colorado. We’ve received a few inquiries into the proposal to allow sport hunting of Elk in Rocky Mountain National Park and are looking into it.
Speaking of vegetarian restaurants: don’t forget to let us know about your favorite Colorado restaurants so we can post them on VegColorado’s Restaurant Guide. Please check out the ever-expanding list the site already offers.
We have a few distribution boxes for our starter kits. If you know of a good place to put one, please let us know. And: If you want VSKs to hand out to friends, family, coworkers, please contact us.
Another big thank you to all who attended RMAD’s Fourth Annual Dining Out Day. It was the best yet, raising some $1500 for the animals. The new WaterCourse is fantastic and allows for even more people to sample some of the best vegetarian cuisine in the state. Thank you to Dan Hanley for organizing this event every year.
Ann Swissdorf is coordinating the latest Evolution (vegan) dog food order, and this is your chance to get some of this amazing, super-healthy, animal-free food. Please contact her by Monday at the latest. The total order needs to be at least 500 lbs of dog food and the bags come in 20 lb and 40 lb sizes. She will be happy to meet you to get your payment since this is such short notice. For more information or to order, please contact Ann.
Thanks for reading. Have a good weekend.
- Chris
